What is a herdshare?
Herdshares are the only way to legally obtain raw milk here in Michigan. Through a herdshare you become a member and part owner of our herd of goats. This allows you access to fresh raw milk from your share in the herd. You pay a monthly lease fee for your goat and monthly boarding fee (share fee) for the labor and feed associated with your animal.
What are the herdshare fees?
We run monthly shares. Each month has a $5/month lease fee no matter how many shares per month you purchase. Each share has a $34/month boarding fee.
1 share $34/month = 1/2 gallon/week
2 shares $68/month = 1 gallon/week
You can purchase up to 6 shares in our herd.
What do your goats eat?
The goats are given access to pasture year round. During the winter our goats have free choice of both 100% pure alfalfa hay and an alfalfa grass hay mix at all times. They are fed a bit of NON-GMO grain during their milking to help them produce their highly nutritious milk and have access to free choice minerals as well.

We do not preemptively medicate or treat our goats with antibiotics or growth hormones. However, in the case a goat is sick, it will be treated in accordance with our veterinarian so it can enjoy the highest quality of life and any milk withhold dates will be far exceeded.
