Help feed the hungry in our community

If $1/month could put farm fresh foods on the plates of kids whose parents are struggling, would you help?

In a time of widespread division we are seeking to create a community that sets aside our differences and focuses on one goal; loving our neighbor.

Imagine this . . .

Imagine a community where families who are struggling financially can put farm fresh foods on the table for their kids.

A community where people in need don’t need to feel shamed or embarrassed about asking for help because the whole community has rallied together to make sure they have access to nutrient dense foods and are happy to support the cause.

A community where those struggling can see the face of the farmer who raised their food and that farmer can get paid a fair price for his/her labor.

A community where thousands of people donate $1/month, $5/ month, $10/month. Together we can accomplish the impossible, but this community is only possible when we all pitch in! Please consider helping below.

How did this come to be?

Honestly, this has all been an amazing accidental project that the community has shown they want! What started as a simple post to give away a few of our pasture raised turkeys to some families in need turned into a flood of messages from tons of people in our community, businesses, churches, food banks, and donor clubs wanting to help put farm fresh foods on the tables of folks in our community who would otherwise struggle to get any food at all. What was a simple idea to help a few families has grown into something larger than I can do on my own. So we are currently working to form a 501c3 non-profit to take in these funds and make this be a reality in our community! All thanks to people like you!

So how might this work?

While we are still working through logistics and what may actually be able to occur, these are our goals . . .

  • With your support we would purchase goods (beef, pork, chicken, eggs, etc.) direct from farmers to help support our local economy

  • These goods would be made into boxes of ground beef, sausage, eggs, fresh veggies, etc. that would be given out to those in need

  • We would then partner with local churches and food banks to help determine who is in need of the boxes and help distribute them on a weekly basis throughout the Greater Lansing Area (Lansing, Holt, Grand Ledge, Mason, etc.)

  • For other folks who want to support through the purchase of a 1/4 1/2 or whole beef or pork we will offer those available where all proceeds on the animal goes to the non-profit ministry

  • By subscribing to our newsletter below and sharing how you would potentially be willing to help we can then move forward to make this a reality. (We are NOT currently accepting donations, just seeking info on how much support we may receive from the community so we can plan to make this happen)

  • You can then follow along on our weekly newsletter updates and on our social media to see how this plan is progressing and eventually see how many families your support has impacted each week and how the animals you’re helping raise for those in need are raised on our farm and partner farms

*** Again, we are NOT currently taking donations and we are NOT taking donations for our farm. We have 0 desire to compete with other farmers but want to help support local farms and help the hungry in our community. We are simply in the process of starting a non-profit and interested in seeing how you might be able to help us achieve the goal of ending hunger in our neighborhoods. We can only thrive when we work together. Every penny counts, every person counts. Thank you for your support! I look forward to hearing from you! ***
